Winter storm continues to blanket north eastern USA under heavy snow. Winters are really harsh this time around and no sign of mercury rising. They might need their parent's assistance to comfort them and fall back asleep. Babies sleep better if we keep them at the right temperature throughout the night.

Pediatric sleep expert suggest 65 -70 degrees F is an ideal temperature for baby's room. It is a safe and comfortable temperature for your baby to sleep in. Overheating may have a negative effect on sleep quality. Keeping them at the moderate temperature will have a positive effect on the quality of their sleep. Newborns and infants are not able to regulate their body temperature like others so make sure that they are kept at the right temperature. You might need to be sure whether your baby is too hot or too cold. The best way is to touch tummy or nape of back. It should feel warm and nice. Their hands and feet may feel cold and not in sync with their actual body temperature.
